Office clearance in Glasgow

Office and commercial clearances

Glasgow is home ground. Our depot is in the east end on Eastmuir Street, near Shettleston and close to the M8, which puts the city centre, the south side and the business parks around the edge of the city within easy reach. We clear offices in the Victorian and Edwardian buildings around Blythswood Square, St Vincent Street and West George Street, modern floors in the International Financial Services District on the Broomielaw, creative spaces in the Merchant City and Finnieston, and units at Hillington Park and Queenslie.

Whether you are relocating, downsizing, merging two offices or closing a business, we can take everything: desks, chairs, storage, meeting and reception furniture, kitchen appliances, archive boxes and redundant IT. We agree an up-front rate first, from photos or a survey, then book the work around your trading hours. Our uniformed team dismantles and removes the lot, keeps hard drives and confidential paper apart for secure handling, and takes everything to our depot to be sorted for reuse, charity and recycling. You get waste transfer paperwork at the end. Leaving a leased office? Our dilapidation works team removes the partitions, ceilings and floor coverings your lease says must come out, and warehouses and trade units are covered by our commercial and industrial clearance service.

  • Planned around your working hours, including evenings and weekends by arrangement
  • Up-front rates agreed before any work starts
  • Desks, chairs, storage and partitions dismantled and removed
  • IT equipment and electricals handled as waste electrical equipment, with secure IT disposal
  • Confidential paperwork kept separate for secure destruction
  • Waste transfer paperwork for your duty of care records
  • Registered waste carrier, uniformed and fully insured team
  • Over 90% of what we collect is reused or recycled

Local know-how

Clearing an office in Glasgow

What businesses in Glasgow need to know before clearing an office, and how we keep the job compliant and on schedule.

One visit instead of endless runs

Staff squeezing old chairs into their cars, a skip sitting outside for a fortnight and a van hired for the weekend all cost more time than they save. With our depot in the city, we can size the crew and vehicles to the job and clear the whole office in one visit. The space is emptied, swept and ready for the agent, the landlord or the shopfitters coming in next.

Glasgow business waste rules

Glasgow's household waste recycling centres are for residents only, and none of them will take business or trade waste. An office clearance has to go through a registered waste carrier, and you should keep the waste transfer notes for at least two years under the duty of care. Old computers and phones are WEEE that need specialist treatment, and any data on them must be securely destroyed to satisfy data protection law.

City centre floors and business parks

Many city centre offices sit in older sandstone buildings with small lifts, shared stairwells and loading limited by bus lanes, bus gates and parking controls, so we plan where the vehicle will stand before the day. Newer blocks in the IFSD and at Pacific Quay usually have goods lifts and loading bays that need booking. Business parks and industrial estates are simpler, with yards and level access.

Questions

Glasgow office clearance FAQs

How much does it cost to clear an office in Glasgow?
The price depends on the volume, the type of items, and how the building works for access, from lifts and stairs to where we can park. Send photos or a floor plan, or we can visit, since our depot is in the city. You get an up-front rate before anything is booked, so you can budget for the move with confidence.
Can you clear our office outside working hours?
Yes, by arrangement. Evening and weekend clearances suit businesses that are still trading, shared buildings with busy lifts, and city centre streets where loading is easier when traffic is quieter. Mention it when you ask for a quote, along with any building rules about out of hours access, and we will plan the team around it.
How do you handle hard drives and IT equipment?
IT is separated from general waste from the start and treated as waste electrical and electronic equipment. Computers, laptops, servers and phones that hold data go through our hard drive and IT disposal service so the information is securely destroyed, helping you meet data protection law. Let us know if some equipment is moving with you so it can be set aside.
Do you provide waste transfer notes for our records?
Yes. We are registered with SEPA as a waste carrier and provide the waste transfer paperwork a business needs to show it has met its duty of care. Keep the notes for at least two years. Many facilities managers file them with the lease exit documents so everything is together if anyone asks later.
We are leaving our lease. How far ahead should we book?
Book as soon as your exit date is known. Landlords often expect the space back empty and tidy, and decorators or reinstatement contractors may need time after the furniture has gone. Booking early lets us plan around your last trading day and the hand back date rather than racing to fit both into one week.
Do you clear shops, warehouses and other commercial premises?
Yes. Alongside offices we clear retail units, trade counters, warehouses and stores, including shelving, counters, stock left behind and general commercial waste. The same approach applies: an up-front rate first and waste transfer paperwork at the end. We do not take asbestos or hazardous waste such as chemicals, paint, gas bottles or fuel.
