Garden clearance in Renfrew

Small gardens, shared greens and tenancy changes

Renfrew sits on the south bank of the Clyde, where the River Cart joins it, about six miles west of Glasgow, and the M8 has junctions at Arkleston and Braehead. From our east end depot it is a simple motorway run. Much of the town's housing is compact: cottage flats and terraced houses in Kirklandneuk, Knockhill and Moorpark, older flats around the town centre and Renfrew Cross, and newer riverside homes with small patios. Gardens here tend to be modest in size, but they are easily neglected.

A large part of our Renfrew garden work is for landlords, letting agents and owners getting a property ready for someone new. We clear whatever has built up outside, whether that is a drying green full of abandoned furniture, a back garden lost under bags of rubbish, a sagging fence or a shed nobody has opened in years. Keys can be collected from the agent, a rate is agreed up front from photos, and we leave the ground clear for a gardener, an inspection or a new tenant.

  • Drying greens and back gardens cleared of abandoned items
  • Gardens cleared between tenancies, with keys collected from the agent
  • Fence panels, decking boards and broken trampolines removed
  • Turf, soil, slabs and rubble taken away in bags
  • Electric mowers and strimmers recycled under WEEE rules
  • Only your own items moved on shared ground
  • Paperwork left for landlords and letting agents
  • Why landlords and agents use us for gardens

Local know-how

Garden clearances in Renfrew

Most Renfrew gardens are compact, so the challenge is usually access rather than size.

Everything outside in one trip

Even a small garden can produce more than a car can carry. A few fence panels, a broken trampoline frame, an old washing machine left by the back door and a pile of bagged weeds soon add up. Our team brings a truck and loads it in one visit. We take garden furniture, pots, decking boards, rubble and soil in bags, plus any household items that have drifted outside, then sweep the slabs before we go.

Recycling centres and paperwork

Renfrewshire's recycling centres are for residents bringing household waste by car. The only site that takes a van, pick-up or trailer is Linwood, and only with a permit arranged beforehand, while every visit needs photo ID and proof of an address in the area. A landlord living outside Renfrewshire cannot use them, and neither can an agent clearing on a client's behalf. We are registered with SEPA, compost the green waste and leave you paperwork.

Shared greens, closes and new builds

Cottage flats often share a back green or have a garden reached by a side path or close, so we take care not to move anything belonging to the neighbours. Newer riverside developments near Braehead and Kings Inch may have small private gardens, parking rules and bin stores run by a factor. Before we arrive, tell us which part of the ground is yours and where the truck can stop, and leave gates unlocked if you will not be there.

Questions

Renfrew garden clearance FAQs

My Renfrew garden is small. How will you price it?
By what is there, not by the size of the plot. We look at the volume of waste, the kind of items involved and how we reach them, for example through a close, up steps or from a car park some distance away. A few bags and a broken bench is a very different job from a shed and a full fence line. Photos are usually enough for us to give you an up-front rate.
Can you clear a rented property's garden between tenants?
Yes. Letting agents and private landlords in Renfrew ask us to clear gardens and drying greens at the end of a tenancy. We can pick up keys from the agency, remove whatever the last tenant left outside and leave the ground clear. If the house also needs emptying, we can carry out a void clearance at the same visit, and we leave paperwork for your records once everything is done.
Our cottage flat shares a back green. Can you still help?
Yes. Many cottage flats and older blocks in Renfrew share ground with neighbours. Tell us which items are yours, or confirm that the neighbours have agreed to a joint clear-out, and we will remove only what has been agreed. If rubbish has been dumped there by people who do not live in the building, our fly-tipping clearance service may suit the situation better.
Do you take turf, soil and rubble?
Yes, as long as it is bagged. Turf lifted for a new patio, soil from raised beds, and broken slabs or bricks can all go, along with hardcore from small garden projects. Heavy materials take more effort to lift and fill a truck faster, so mention them when you send photos. We cannot take anything containing asbestos, so let us know if you are unsure about old roofing sheets or boards.
What about old electrical garden tools?
We take electric mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and pressure washers. They count as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), so they are kept apart from the green waste at our Glasgow depot and sent for proper treatment and recycling. Petrol tools are different, because we do not take fuel, so mention any petrol mower before the day and we will talk it through with you.
