Office clearance in Scotland

Office and commercial clearances

Jettison Express is based in Glasgow, with one depot in the east end of the city, and we take on office clearances right across Scotland from there. Glasgow, Paisley and the surrounding towns are on our doorstep. Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen are covered from Glasgow too, with each job planned in advance so the right crew and vehicles travel together. Further afield, we look at each enquiry on its merits and plan the trip around your dates and your building.

The service is the same wherever your premises are. You send photos, floor plans or an inventory, or we survey the site, and we agree an up-front rate before the job is booked. Our uniformed, fully insured team dismantles furniture, clears stores and kitchens, keeps IT and confidential paperwork apart for secure handling, and loads everything for the depot, where it is sorted for reuse, charity and recycling. We finish with a sweep, and you receive waste transfer paperwork for your duty of care records. For lease-end strip-outs see our dilapidation works, and for whole buildings that need taking back to shell, our soft strip services.

  • Planned around your working hours, including evenings and weekends by arrangement
  • Up-front rates agreed before any work starts
  • Desks, chairs, storage and partitions dismantled and removed
  • IT equipment and electricals handled as waste electrical equipment, with secure IT disposal
  • Confidential paperwork kept separate for secure destruction
  • Waste transfer paperwork for your duty of care records
  • Registered waste carrier, uniformed and fully insured team
  • Over 90% of what we collect is reused or recycled

Local know-how

Clearing offices across Scotland

What businesses in Scotland need to know before clearing an office, and how we keep the job compliant and on schedule.

Planned so one trip does it

For anywhere outside the Glasgow area, the planning matters more than the driving. We size each job from the survey so a single crew can empty the premises in one visit, rather than sending a van back and forward. That keeps disruption down for the business, gets keys back to the landlord on time and means you deal with one contractor from the first call to the final paperwork.

The rules for business waste

In every Scottish council area, household recycling centres refuse business and trade waste, so no company can use them to clear an office. Businesses have a duty of care to use a registered waste carrier and to keep waste transfer notes for at least two years. Electrical and electronic equipment is WEEE that needs proper treatment, and data on old IT must be destroyed securely so the business stays within data protection law.

Every kind of business premises

Scottish offices range from listed townhouses in Edinburgh and Glasgow and granite buildings in Aberdeen to modern blocks, business parks and industrial estates on the edge of every city. Access is the thing that changes most from site to site: stairs, lifts, loading bays, parking controls and building management rules. We ask about all of it before the day so the team arrives with a plan for your building.

Questions

Scotland office clearance FAQs

How do you price office clearances in different parts of Scotland?
Each job is priced on its own. The rate depends on how much is going, the type of items, access at the building and the planning needed to get a crew there from Glasgow. Photos, floor plans or a survey give us what we need, and you get an up-front rate before anything is booked.
Can you clear several of our offices in different towns?
Yes. If your business is closing or consolidating sites in more than one place, we can plan the clearances as a programme, agreeing dates for each location and working through them in order. You deal with one team, get consistent waste paperwork from every site and can line the clearances up with each lease end.
How far ahead should we book?
The more notice the better, especially outside the Glasgow area, where jobs are planned in advance. Contact us once you know your move or exit date so we can survey, agree the rate and fix a date that works around your trading, your landlord and any contractors coming in after us.
Do you handle IT disposal and confidential waste as part of the clearance?
Yes. Computers and electricals are treated as waste electrical and electronic equipment and kept separate, with data-bearing devices going through our secure IT and hard drive disposal service. Confidential paperwork is kept apart from general waste for secure destruction. Both can be dealt with in the same visit as the furniture.
What accreditations do you hold?
We are a SEPA registered waste carrier, and our accreditations include Living Wage Employer, Build Lanarkshire, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and SafeContractor approval. Our team is uniformed and fully insured, which is often what a landlord, managing agent or procurement team asks to see before work can start on site.
